Our Commitment to Your Privacy

Modem AI is built with privacy as its foundation. Unlike traditional AI applications, Modem AI runs entirely on your device. This means your conversations, questions, and responses never leave your device and are never transmitted to our servers or any third-party servers.

What Data We Collect

Anonymous Usage Data

We collect minimal, anonymous usage data to help us improve Modem AI. This data includes:

• App launch events
• Feature usage statistics (e.g., which screens you visit)
• Technical diagnostics (e.g., crash reports, performance metrics)
• Device type and operating system version

This data is completely anonymous and cannot be traced back to you personally.

What We Don't Collect

We explicitly do NOT collect:

• Your conversations with the AI
• The questions you ask
• The responses you receive
• Any Personally Identifiable Information (PII)
• Your name, email address, or contact information
• Your location data
• Your browsing history or app usage outside of Modem AI

How Your Data is Processed

All AI processing happens locally on your device. The language model runs entirely within the Modem AI application, using your device's resources. Your conversations are processed in real-time and are never synchronized to the cloud or transmitted over the network.

Data Storage and Security

Currently, Modem AI does not store your conversation history on your device. Each conversation exists only during your active session.

In the future, we may add the option to save conversation history locally on your device. If we implement this feature:

• You will have full control over whether to enable conversation storage
• All stored conversations will remain on your device only
• Conversation data will be protected by your device's security features
• You will be able to delete your conversation history at any time
• Stored data will never be backed up to cloud services by Modem AI
• All data will be deleted when you uninstall the application

Third-Party Services

Modem AI does not integrate with any third-party services that would have access to your conversations or personal data. The anonymous usage data we collect is processed through standard analytics tools that comply with privacy regulations.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Use Modem AI without any conversation data being stored or transmitted
• Delete all stored data (if conversation storage is enabled in the future) at any time through the app settings
• Opt out of anonymous usage data collection in the app settings
• Uninstall the application, which will remove all locally stored data

Children's Privacy

Modem AI does not knowingly collect any information from children. Since the app runs entirely locally and doesn't collect personal information, it is safe for users of all ages. However, we recommend parental supervision for children using AI applications.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy. Significant changes will be announced within the application.
